Cha-Cha-Cha-Change!

I’m addicted to Transformation!

And, I’m SO excited for a NEW opportunity to grow, learn, love and CHANGE!

The last several years of my life have been a crazy, whirl-wind, type of season. So many things happened. God was SO good! And, WOW, I’m so pumped about the NEW things He’s about to do in and through my life (and all of you)! Change is a good GREAT thing! There’s so much to learn through change!

Two basic principles:

1. Change is Inevitable

2. Everyone Resists Change.

changeWe often cry out for change but rarely do we do anything about it. We’re bored, dissatisfied, depressed or bummed-out… yet we sit & whine – doing nothing – being nothing … that’s sad (and pretty lame). Well, I say, it’s change time! IF not now, then when??

It’s only the view from where you sit that makes you feel defeated. Life is full of many aisles, so why don’t you change your seat? Seriously, get up! Move! Begin seeing from a new perspective!

I think one of the dangers can be focusing on how change will affect us. We fail to pray for others – especially for those about to be changed – because we’re so obsessed with how it makes us feel and what it will do in us.

It’s also really easy to become stingy with our gifts — you know, our time, abilities and finances until we see what happens (and if we approve). But, God wants us to have generous faith! To give courageously! Everything we have is HIS, right?

Nervousness or restlessness is not a permission-slip to be lazy, careless, apathetic or lethargic. People who wait for changes to occur on the outside, before they commit to making changes on the inside, usually never make any changes at all.

Long ago you laid the foundation of the earth and made the heavens with your hands. 26 They will perish, but you remain forever; they will wear out like old clothing. You will change them like a garment and discard them. 27 But you are always the same; you will live forever. Psalm 102:25-27
— yeah, so HE will change you but HE will NEVER change!  Cool!

Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. James 1:17
— God doesn’t change, but He changes US! And, wow, do we need it!

Embrace change. Pray for it. Remain watchful, open, unselfish & encouraging! And, don’t sit around waiting just because you know change is coming. Serve, love, share, grow, smile … LIVE!

Remember this: When you are through changing… you’re through!! Gulp!

SO much is about to be new & different in my life. And, for me, I’m not waiting to make a New Year’s resolution at the end of the month but instead, join me in making a New You resolution today! Let’s embrace CHANGE!

One last word of caution: Refuse to focus on how you’re going to start something new and totally blow-off what you should be doing right now. The daily steps bring us to the giant leaps!

Well, those are my ‘change’ thoughts. I’m done.

… feelin’ the NEXT but focused on the NOW, Chilly

Q: Where are you at with all of this? What’s about to change in and through you?

Tell others!
